Since its foundation in 1919, the Willow Oak Fire Protection District (WOFPD) has been proud to serve the rural Woodland community, as well as all of Yolo County. WOFPD is a combination department, employing full time career fire staff, supplemented with reserve, and volunteer firefighters to meet staffing needs. Station 7 is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Typical daily staffing includes 1 Career Officer and 2 Reserve Firefighters, with Volunteers responding from work/home directly to incidents, or for additional coverage when needed. With a varied compliment of apparatus available at 2 stations, WOFPD is ready and available to handle any type of emergency situation. All staff are professionally trained to deal with fires, rescues, motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and more. As well as regular daily duties, WOFPD frequently participates in regional training with neighboring agencies to facilitate good working relationships and seamless integration at emergency incidents.
Willow Oak Fire Protection District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Willow Oak Fire Protection District
